The reality of this trip is setting in. And along with it, the inevitable and grueling task of packing. I hate packing. How can I consider every possible situation in a place that I've never been before? And five weeks of situations at that!
There will be dinners. I understand Spaniards tend to dress 'less casually' than Americans. Who doesn't? But what does this mean exactly? Will these dinners be business casual, or possibly something more? My love for sweatpants combined with the poor habits I adopted during the pandemic are coming back to bite me.
As part of this class, we'll be exploring what makes Spain so healthy. And with this in mind, we'll be doing a lot of activity. Active gear is a must. But how many pairs of spandex shorts are too many? ;)
Valencia has many beaches...which require swimsuits...and all the sun blocking necessities including hats, glasses, screens, shirts, etc.
We will visit several healthcare facilities in hopes of understanding how Spanish healthcare differs from what we know in the U.S. I don't even know where to begin on this one.
I'm going to need another bag.
